Explore Atlanta's past via exhibits but not only static visuals. Facets of the Atlanta History Center that represent the 18th and the 19th and the 20th century is brought to life with guides acting as the people in question - even wearing period costumes!
The woman below re-enacts Laundry day at the Smith Family Farm.
Visit the historic homes - Swan House from 1928, the Smith Family Farm, the Wood Family Farm and walk through the acres of period gardens and trails. The floral beauty is divided into the 22 acres of the Goizueta Garden as well as two other gardens.
A second campus belonging to the Atlanta History Center, located in Midtown Atlanta just a sort drive away, hosts the Margaret Mitchell House, "birthplace of Gone with the Wind". The restored house may be seen below.
One admission will allow you to enjoy the special exhibits at the campus.
